Wedding DJs VS Club DJs

Both DJs have knowledge about music and have the ability to beat match and mix different genres of music. But when it comes to host or perform in a wedding or a night club we are very different professionals. Each require very different skill sets and it is rare to find a DJ qualified to do both functions flawlessly.
Like any other professional we are specialized in what we have experience. For example, there are lawyers for criminals issues and also lawyers for family issues like divorce or child support. Both are qualified lawyers but different field or specialty, the same occurs with DJs.

A Club DJ is a resident DJ who performs in the same nightclub weekend after weekend. He will be intimately familiar with the night club clientele (crowd) and know the type of music that works to keep the dance floor full, they usually create a pattern or style playing the same type of music for the same age group and approximately the same number of patrons each night depending on the kind of night club they play.

A Club DJ usually specializes on beat matching different songs together with a very limited genre of music such as Top 40, Hip hop, House and Dub step. This all depending on the kind of club and crowd they work for. The MC at a night club just encourages the crowd to dance during the night. They don't have to go as far as hosting an event such as your Wedding reception. They would be more suitable performing at a school party or a birthday party.

On the other hand an Experienced Wedding DJ  is a more versatile professional and will have proficient knowledge of a thousand different songs of all genres from 50's to 90's, Top 40, Hip Hop, Urban, Country, Jazz, Hispanic, Caribbean, as well as many different ethnic music.

A successful Wedding DJ fully understands the requirements, traditions and objectives of a wedding reception. He is able to plan and execute all the music needed for your event from formal music for your ceremony, classic background tunes for your cocktail hour and dinner time, and the ability to host and mix your customized playlist for your reception as well as maintain the flow of the night.

No wedding is the same as the other, therefore, Wedding DJs are able to adapt and adjust performance and style from event to event. We have the ability and experience to read the crowd throughout the night and adjust the music based on age group, gender and culture.

An experience Wedding DJ have the knowledge to act no only as a DJ we also performance as MC hosting the night from the very beginning of your wedding reception at the cocktail hour until 1:00 am, All the Announcements, including The Bride and Groom Big Entrance, Wedding Party introduction, Special Dances, Speeches  and the interactive wedding games. The whole entertainment is rolled and hosted by your DJ.

Must people think that DJ we just press a button and music is on, they don't take us seriously and most of the time they don't look at us like a professional wedding vendor. But they don't have idea that their wedding night is in our hands, Remember that the DJ is the only one person who can make your event memorable or miserable, your guests they will forget about the hall, the flowers, the decoration even the wedding cake and the food, But they will always remember how fun or bored was your wedding night.

So make sure that when you are looking for your a DJ for your wedding make sure to hire a Wedding DJ and not a Night Club DJ, and don't choose your dj just because the price, Night Club DJ can be more affordable because they have no experience  about performing as a wedding DJ and they don't know all the work and programing involve for your event. They will treat your wedding as a night club loosing most of the crowd because of the music style and they might show up in jeans and a shirt at your wedding reception.

At DJ Santy Entertainment we take the time to guide and educate our clients about  how to program their Wedding Reception and make the whole event flawless and memorable. we are specialized in weddings and we have the experience to manage all the entertainment requirements on the most important day of you life.

                      Single Op DJ Company

                                VS

             Multi Ops DJ Companies

Multi Ops DJ Companies: A great number of Multi op DJ companies have big offices supporting a large number of staff members. The staff consists of one or more managers with a complete team of operations; such as receptionists, sales force, marketing group, and about 15 or more subcontracted DJs. Their main focus is on the volume of sales, therefore, you may feel the pressure of booking with them immediately without given the opportunity to meet your DJ. You will speak to the sales rep and complete the necessary paperwork related to the music selection and you may discuss how you want your evening to flow by providing important information. The DJ will only be given the raw paper information consisting of the music selection and the rest of the information will be left out. Another disadvantage is that the majority of these DJs are not as experienced and professional as you are led to believe. They are hired a couple of weeks or less before your wedding for $200-$300 to play. Since the DJ does not own the company, they don't have to bring their best effort forward since they don't have to maintain a reputable image. They will get paid regardless.

Single Operator DJ Company:  Usually consisting of one DJ who works on his own, who may or may not have an office set up, and have a smaller volume of event bookings compared to a multi op. The best advantage of hiring a single op DJ is the direct contact you will get with the owner/DJ. The focus and attention will be on you and on how you want your day to flow. All details will be heard and noted by the owner and DJ making each meeting more personal and more comfortable for you and you fiance.

By hiring a Single Op DJ as DJ Santy Entertainment you will have the privilege of meeting with the owner of the company and at the same time the one who also will be your DJ for your event. He will walk you through the event planning process, answer all your questions, and maintain contact from the first consultation meeting until your wedding day. He will be educating you and giving you advice and ideas on how to make your wedding day successful based on his experience.

Another great advantage is that a Single Op DJ can customize a package and price according to your budget and your needs. As the owner of his company he has the freedom to adjust the prices because he does not have to worry about paying for a lot of the expenses that a Multi Op DJ company has to worry about. Therefore you will find yourself paying for a DJ and not all the expenses related to running the company.

Last but not least is the high level of quality and customer service. This DJ would be doing everything from A - Z because his clients are top priority. By doing so this helps create and maintain a great reputation for his company. Every detail discussed will be dully noted and he will work twice as hard to make your event successful and  flawless. A professional DJ and a caring owner wants happy clients because this will help promote his business in a positive way.

Not many clients realize that picking the right DJ takes as much research and time as picking any other vendor. The success of your event relies on the right DJ because at the end of the night you want to feel that the cost of the DJ was money well invested and you don't want to have any regrets choosing your DJ. Remember all that glitters isn't gold so choose wisely!
